Heritage evidence is not only prepared to support development, it is also relied upon by local authorities, parish councils and community groups who need independent, expert scrutiny of the heritage evidence submitted by others. This experience includes the independent review of heritage and environmental assessments, providing objective advice on their robustness and on the effects of proposed development on the historic environment.

Relevant experience includes acting on behalf of a group of twelve parish councils in relation to a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project in Cambridgeshire, reviewing the applicant's environmental information from a built heritage perspective and advising the community on the assessment of effects on the surrounding historic environment.

Across this work the emphasis is on impartial, evidence-led review that helps communities and authorities understand and respond to the heritage implications of development proposals.
